Dr. Jodi A. Fischer:
Born and raised in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, Dr. Fischer attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls for her undergraduate training and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She has practiced in North Dakota, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Dr. Fischer purchased this wonderful practice from Dr. Bruning in the fall of 2015 and is extremely happy to continue the culture of high quality medicine and compassionate care provided by County Center Animal Hospital since 1975.
Dr. Fischer enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine with a special interest in acupuncture. She received advanced acupuncture training from the prestigious Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine in Reddick, Florida.
She is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Fischer and her husband Waylon have a son, Mason, and a daughter, Kenley. Waylon is a large animal veterinarian. They have two dogs, Vernon and Moe, and two cats, Sebastian and Hazel.
Born and raised in Merrill, Wisconsin, Dr. Brittany attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls for her undergraduate training and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She has been practicing in the Wausau area since graduation and is excited to be able to join this wonderful team.
Dr. Brittany's favorite part of general practice is being able to build relationships with her patients and their family throughout their life. She also takes an extra interest in nutrition for her patients, and also enjoys seeing poultry patients from time to time.
She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Brittany and her husband Ryan have two sons, Bryce and Jace, and a daughter, Gracelyn. They share their home with quite the hobby farm - 2 mini donkeys (Carl & Phin), a pony (Sundrop), a beef heifer (Baby Brown), 2 goats (Dottie and Kit), 3 dogs (Zip, Butch, & Bucky), 2 rabbits (Zoomer & Spirit), and many, many chickens. In her time away from the clinic, Dr. Brittany enjoys spending time with her family and critters, volunteering with the Lincoln County 4H, fishing, and raising chickens.
