Born and raised in Michigan, Barbara, married to Dr. Bruning, holds degrees in education and nursing from Michigan State University and the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire respectively.  She also earned a Certificate of Merit in Veterinary Management from the American Animal Hospital Association.

Barbara is responsible for the day to day business administration and managerial decisions here at County Center Animal Hospital.

Barbara enjoys keeping in touch with the Bruning children, visiting with her mother, watching movies with her husband and remodeling their home.

Originally from Green Bay, Terry is a 1990 graduate of Madison Area Technical College with a degree in veterinary technology.  She has worked at County Center Animal Hospital since 1995.

Terry lives in Wausau with her husband and their two children.  When she is not chasing after kids she likes to chase pheasants and grouse with her labrador retriever Libby and occasionally watch the "Pack" with her husband.

Veterinary Technician

A native Wisconsinite and farm girl, Brenda graduated from Madison Area Technical College with a degree in veterinary technology in 2003.  She has been employed at County Center Animal Hospital since that time.  Brenda has a new puppy called Mona.


When not working, Brenda likes to play volleyball and softball and has been known to make the pilgrimage to the "Frozen Tundra".

Veterinary Assistant

A Rib Lake native, Danielle attended the University of Wisconsin - Marathon County and the Horizon School of Veterinary Assisting and is our newest employee having started in 2005.  She is studying to take the examination to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.

Danielle is a  the new mother of a son but still finds time to spends time with her two cats, Bailey and Squeaks and her new Irish Setter puppy, Phoebe. When she is not working, Danielle plays softball, volleyball or works out at the gym.

Public Relations

Oliver is the director of client and patient relations at our hospital.  He is a graduate of the school of hard knocks.  When he is not interacting with other cats and dogs that invade his kingdom or mothering one of our adoption kittens, Ole can be found asking for attention from our clients or enjoying his power naps.
