 Dr. Thomas R. Bruning:
Born in Minnesota and raised in Beulah, Michigan, Dr. Bruning earned his BS and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with honors from Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1974. After a short stint in a Michigan practice, Dr. Bruning founded County Center Animal Hospital in Marathon in 1975.
He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association where he served as President in 1991, the Northern Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association.
His special interests in veterinary medicine are laser assisted surgery, laser therapy, dermatology and animal behavior.
Dr. Tom and his wife Barbara have two grown children, Gunnar and Hans. When not practicing, he enjoys bird hunting with his dog, Sara, sailing on Lake Superior and reading.
